About Networks

SimStreet Networks are individual Social Networks that can be created by anyone, and provide a way of establishing an ongoing interaction with your friends, followers, fans and consumers. Whether you are a band, sports team, online business, or multinational brand, a SimStreet Network can provide your organisation with a free branded social networking extension to your exiting online presence.

As the Network Creator, you have full control over the contents that is presented to your Network Members. SimStreet Networks provide a range of features that enable you to build a loyal user base, such as Welcome Emails, Network Moderation and Bulk Email features.

When creating a Socail Network, you can define a Network Header, such the one at the top of this page. This is presented at the top of all of your Members pages (like this). Therefore, whenever someone visits one of your Member's profile's, blog's, video channel's, your Network is advertised to them. The content that's displayed in this Network Header can be hosted on your own server, meaning that you have 100% control over what is displayed to the members, and you can retain 100% any advertising revenue that you generate.

Each Network also has a Home Page (like this). This contains chat forums, bulletin boards, linked networks, and embedded Video Players, all of which can be customised and branded to your organisations needs. In addition, you can populate the integrated Video Channels, Blog's and Picture Galleries and Music Spaces.

To create a Socail Network, you will first need to 'Create a SimStreet Account'. Once logged in, click the 'Networks' tab, then click the 'Create Custom Network' link to begin.
